Apart from a few exceptions, a filter press discharges useless waste and the pump that supplies the filter press is not part of the production facilities. This element is generally ignored by companies, and people put off having to discuss it for as long as possible. Maintenance costs must on no account be a worry for the user. Some pumps available on the market, and specifically designed to cater for the task, are cheap to buy but prove very expensive to maintain. From its industrial standard range, DKM has developed pumps for this particular usage. They are equipped with a static device for hydropneumatic control of the flow rate according to the pressure, and they press down the cake at the plugging pressure (usually 15 bars). They require next to no maintenance and wearing parts are limited. The 25-year service lives required in the industrial field are attained.
